Exchanging letters and cards recently made me realise just how much I needed this kind of slower communication back in my life. Instant messaging, etc. can feel so overwhelming, and nothing quite beats the quiet vulnerability of pouring out your thoughts into a letter.
(And yes! I realise the irony of posting this on social media)
