On February 17th, the London Criminal Court in the United Kingdom charged 27-year-old Chinese doctoral student Zou Zhenhao with sexually assaulting 10 women during his stay in the UK from 2019 to 2023. Prosecutors described Zou as "a clever and charming young man" who, in reality, was "a habitual offender involved in sexual assault, voyeurism, and rape."
However, Zou denied all charges, claiming that he had a habit of recording sexual activities with his partners and that the explicit photos and videos were taken with their consent. British police also discovered cameras in his dormitory, to which Zou argued that these actions were merely out of curiosity. Additionally, images of the anesthetic sevoflurane were found on his phone, which Zou attributed to accidental miscapture due to a phone malfunction.
