First up, let’s clear the air about what’s actually happening in schools. No one's suggesting there are secret surgeries in the gymnasium—it’s about the narratives being pushed subtly through curriculum and social climate. Human brains are not fully developed until the early twenties, meaning young minds are especially impressionable. Throwing complex and potentially harmful ideologies into that mix—like those suggesting kids should consider hormonal or surgical transitions—is risky business. 🚫

Now, about being open-minded—it’s fantastic, but let’s not confuse open-mindedness with pushing kids to make life-altering decisions before they’re ready. Encouragement should mean supporting kids to think critically and explore diverse viewpoints, not nudging them toward irreversible paths like taking hormones or surgery. These actions can have lifelong consequences, which certainly have no place in the developing minds of children and teenagers.

Discussing LGBTQ+ issues doesn’t have to mean endorsing every drastic step associated with the movement. It's crucial to differentiate between promoting acceptance and diving headlong into decisions that can profoundly alter a young person's life and well-being.
