When I was younger I was an avid long distance runner and not always exactly responsible about *where* I went running. I loved to leave the house in Cleveland or Houston, Pittsburgh or NYC and just "run around."

It's a great way to get to know your neighborhood. But, one day in a Houston suburb I didn't know very well I got very sick, horrible cramps. I had to lie down for a bit. The area was deserted and I wondered if that is where I would die. (I was also more melodramatic when I was younger)
