while you're offline, if the same person tries to send you 10k sats on lightning but the transaction fails, did you lose 10k sats?
i think the benefits far outweigh the risks. There are many uses for bearer instruments, nostr zaps are just the tip of the iceberg.
I'm bullish cashu. It has a use case, its not for everyone, but it is well worth exploring and educating about.
