Some of my favorite songs from 15(!!) years ago were written by people who could not sing but could write songs and then wrangle VOCALOID into singing them. These people did not have a voice before VOCALOID.
It worked well for Japanese but never worked for English.
But it looks like we finally have the tech to do it for English as well.
I’m looking forward to someone using this to make some great new music instead of just covers!
