The 32mm HR Digaron-W has a very large image circle - remaining sharp almost to the outmost edge - making it ideal for panoramic stitched images like this. It's a wide angle lens to start; 32mm on the 645 Phase One format is roughly the angle of view of a 21mm lens in 35mm "full frame" terms. By stitching the two shifted images together as in this photo, it can capture angles of view as wide as roughly a 12mm "full frame" lens, without geometric distortion.
