Just had a customer with critical business data work done only on a laptop. The Intel Optane nvme SSD completely died. Isn't recognized at all. Data lost.
If you have anything important, make an extra copy of it now.
In this case, most of her data was being backed up to a cloud backup service and she had made a recent manual backup. Just the most recent data has been lost... but that was very frustrating for her.
