This is interesting for a lot of reasons, but why are Democrats filibustering a bill that they are sponsoring? Can't they just let this horrid bill just pass with 51 votes? Or are they pretending to oppose it by making the GOP turn a bunch of Dems and make them come out and publicly support the bill?

If it's going to pass, why not just let it pass without Dem support?

I literally have no idea what the Dems are doing other than working overtime to get a GOP bill through the Senate and over their own filibuster. I guess I don't know who is filibustering it, maybe it is just one Senator.

The Senate is so lame.
