Every time something in my i3 setup broke because of some in a power management, session management tool, or $other I was using broke I wasted time fixing. Then I went with a DE and customized it a lot, then that would break on upgrades because plugins/extensions all have to update to the new version and/or port to some new API. Now I live in tmux and leave everything else basically stock DE as the distro shipped it. chefskiss.gif
