BTW, I think Trump's news today on federal criminal charges, was the third out of three breaking news stories in the past 3 months that I learned about first on the #Fediverse, and got well informed quickly by credible news sources here. Whereas pre-Elon that role would have been #Twitter. Frankly that breaking news source would have been the ONE thing Twitter was still uniquely good for then.
