List voting has also, more times than I could count after the fact, led me to not vote for my favorite candidate because too many on the same list have been absolutely abhorrent. It has also meant MUCH more research into not just the candidates but their total lists to avoid bad choices. At least in the Finnish D'Hondt system, the establishment doesn't decide who the top of the list is.

Again, the choice is always for the least bad option.
