I had (still have) an old X61T. It was the last of the IBM branded ones and it was miles ahead of the competition at the time. Used to link it up to a Palm Treo 700W running some hacker made software that enabled it to share data with the Thinkpad and then I could get contracts signed in the field. Yeah this was, when, 17 years ago. It's stuff we take for granted now.
That thing was an absolute beast in build quality.
