The status quo with Israel was never good for America. The fact that he's dismantling the CIA means that presumably there will be a divergence from the status quo. He has the whole region on the edge of their seats trying to guess why this sudden pivot. Trump likes to be popular and what Israel has been doing is highly unpopular. I believe Trump will do something in the opposite direction to traditional American foreign policy. Well have to see.
