I could argue that OpenBSD and Linux make their job harder but I don't know. My understanding is using free software helps but if they want you bad they'll get you no matter what and your computer is the least of your worries.
OpenBSD's main focus is prevent remote attacks from assholes and criminals, but if your hardware is sketchy that's on you. I think certain ARM and RISC-V boards running OpenBSD or Armbian can be pure and untainted. The more obscure the board the better (ie not the Raspberry Pi).
