Some #rust weekend reading and hacking about. I saw good changes coming through via Linux folks last couple of years. Also some embedded safety-critical work being done by folks including those behind Ada Spark. Portability efforts with gcc are also well underway. SIMD? Not entirely there also. AVX-512? unstable. Big tech support? Some, not intel. Hamming wrote you should teach what will be relevant in 20 years. Rust isn't "there" yet. No one serious would claim so. But arrival is inevitable.
