I have dealt with #dns in getting my personal crap up and going, but it has been a while since I have had to do it profesionally or on the behalf of somebody else.
Working on a project for my son's BSA troop's web portal. A 'vanity' domain is pointing to the portal URL, but it is using custom nameservers instead of A records. And of course, the portal doesn't offer email functionality, so no email until I get this unfucked.
To top off this clusterfuck, the registrar for the .com vanity domain is Network Solutions. Less functionality for many times the price.
