found a whole corner of the fediverse full of people who are just waiting to see which corporate platform ascends as twitter burns. they're just sitting here pining to hand all their data to someone and being extremely vocal about it. they have no material complaints with the fediverse, they just don't think it's real because nobody is selling ads on it, and they're only using it to feed some kind of doomscrolling addiction while they wait for their preferred influencers to tell them where they should doomscroll next
