Asked copilot if a user needs any permissions or roles to register an on-premisses data gateway. After it told me how to grant permission to access gateways, I repeated I was talking about permissions to register a new gateway and suggested the Fabric Administrator role. It confidently told me that the Fabric Administrator role was not needed. Either Global Admin or Power BI Service Administrator role is needed.
