The only pen of mine that really shows wear is my Fisher Bullet. I carry a gold titanium nitride one in my EDC survival pouch as a backup ballpoint, so it gets rubbed against by all the bits and bobs in there, inside my handbag. My fountain pens go in leather pen cases. I rarely wear clothing with pockets, and dislike carrying anything in them, when I do.
