If all of us hold a tiny flame, we can light up the night. For the darkness that surrounds us is not empty, but full of promise. Together is the only way we have survived this planet until now. Every catastrophic event in the distant past struck fear and despair in the hearts of those ancients. But they endured and we can too.
So tonight on the longest night we can remember our ancestors that found the strength and courage to face the dark and the unknown. We, too, can assuredly know that the light will return. The Wheel Turns regardless.
