The giant with the bucket (legislation) is waiting for the ok from the ordinary people with the bucket before they proceed. There's a reason Airbus can't make enough planes and we aren't shutting airports.
We have one vote, we use or misuse it the same as nearly everyone else. That we would vote for polticans who ensure the big bucket (legislation) is unable to be used is why nothing is done.
Where are the billions of small people in the developed world all riding bicycles and not flying and voting for the polticans who would ban cars and flying, eat way less meat and insulate homes ? All 15 of them are already doing that, everyone else is enabling the continutaion of the orthodoxy by how they act and vote and using weasel words to justify it.
If the polticans you vote for supports legislation to jail climate protestors, YOU are on the wrong side of this.
An example, in the UK they're voting Tory and Labour and occasionally posting in here that nothing is being done while they actively make it worse. Smilarly in Australia they Vote ALP/LNP and do the same. 85% of Australian voters ensured the madness of digging up billions of tons of coal and exporting gigajoules of Gas continues...imagine that..when they had a choice (the Green party wants to ban it) they deliberately chose to fail, it's incomprehensibile to me.
Those enabling this by voting for the orthodoxy are to blame. Sure they were misled but we're misled all the time, our economic system demands it, its called advertising. It's our responsibility as voters to ensure we see through the bullshit, not swallow it and pretend it's chocolate mousse.
