I know of people born with missing limbs who are on "jobseekers" with a "medical exemption", who still have to get a medical certificate from a GP every 3 months. To confirm their missing limb hasn't grown back, I guess?
This kind of thing is an absurdly, dangerously, wasteful use of GP time. Especially given the chronic shortage of GPs in this country, and how hard it is to get a GP appointment when we urgently need one.
