Again, it is all framing. No one deserves to die for what they believe in, no matter what side they're on.
If a military does it, it's cool and accepted, but if a “warlord” does it, it's horrible and justifies killing those children. That is not okay and, again, a matter of framing.
“Western culture” doesn't only enfanticize children or teenagers, but the Geneva conventions do.
