Last I saw, the uke pilots are only going to be ready to actually hit active duty after 3 years on the brit’s abbreviated course, 5 on the usual one. And that’s just the bare minimum to be able to start an engine, fly a mission, and not kill yourself along the way. Surviving in combat will be something diff.
