What is the importance of using a 3rd party DNS, even if you're using a VPN? Because often, even with that VPN, the DNS can still detect what site you're visiting.
Many VPN providers only mask your IP to the site, but do not create a tunnel. A true VPN tunnel would report only the traffic between myself and the VPN (DNS queries would be managed on their end). Lastly, even with a good VPN provider, sometimes DNS leaks can happen.
