📖 I just finished this book.
Michael Singer tells the story of extreme trust. How the universe works in our favour if we allow it, by detaching head from heart, and surrendering.
I guess I could say I'm 4 years into my own surrender experiment.
It was the subject of the first blog post I wrote embarking on Life 2.0. I was learning to surrender 25 years of identity, ego and surety behind
10 things I've learnt on the way 👉
1. 🔧 We don’t need FIXING. Surrender to the future, not the past.
2. 💫Surrender means defining ourselves by WHO we are, not WHAT we do.
3. 😔Surrender can create extreme adversity. But it often turns out to be the ‘best worst thing’ to happen to us.
4. ➖ Removing things from life is 100x more impactful than adding.
5. 🤔 We often define what we WANT from life by what we DON’T have. Surrender that.
6. 🌊Surrender is surfing the tension between clarity in what we REALLY want while being UNATTACHED to the outcome.
7. 🏞️‘Grace’ carries us when we truly surrender. It is not a feeling we are familiar with.
8. ⚡Grace provides the opportunities, people and resources to show up in ways we cannot imagine.
9. 🗣️That voice in our head doesn’t want us to surrender. It’s evolved to keep us safe in the familiar.
10. 🪄Surrender increases trust, and reduces stress in a BIG way. Life gets unexpectedly exciting.
