Sparrow’s Rest
Identifying a sparrow among sparrows isn't always easy. Merlin seems to like Bachman's sparrow (Peucaea aestivalis) for this image. I'll go with Bachman's but I'm not sure. Merlin also likes field sparrow and Brewer's sparrow. I'll eliminate the Brewer's because it's out of range. When using Merlin to listen to bird songs, it picks up the Bachman's sparrow and song sparrow as well. The black mark on its chest is interesting.
One thing that I like about purchasing prints from Pixels over some other sites that I've looked at, is at Pixels, they do custom frames and canvas stretching. I don't need to stretch my photo to fit a frame, they build the frame to the size of my photo. That's kind of awesome.
