Tangential to the SCOTUS Sackler decision: there’s an extremely weird docudrama miniseries on Netflix (“Painkiller” 2023) about Purdue Pharma’s role in the oxy epidemic. As an avid consumer of weird docudramas, I ate it up with a spoon. Matthew Broderick plays against type as the increasingly demented, delusional, and evil Richard Sackler. The great Uzo Aduba (I could watch her read a phone book) is a fictionalized whistleblower. Weird choices abound. Three stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ #TV
