I'm old enough that we had typing class in highschool, with actual typewriters. I was taught to type two spaces after a period, and I understand that this is no longer recommended, it's just how I type.
A few years ago a teammate removed all of the double spaces from comments in some code that I'd written. IDK, that just felt like such a weird/petty thing to correct. I still think about that and chuckle.
