A few people have asked me why I build #ecrue natively rather than use the #AI app building tools. Here’s what I said:
1) I was a programmer/coder originally so I know what it’s like to fix code. You don’t want to go hunting through code you don’t know and often AI tools can’t do it efficiently.
2) I found using AI as part tutor, part lackey, was the best solution for me - I could ask about the best way to build something or get it to churn out the boring parts.
It did take time and I had the serious advantage of having a background in coding. I’ve seen lots of good apps built using AI tools and I’m sure they’ll get better but this is just a word of warning to people who think AI will replace everything - in my experience we are not there yet BUT the tools are valuable if used right.
