NOSTR is looking into using Bitcoin as a bridge asset, meaning that it would accept Bitcoin payments and convert them into its own internal token, to be used for data storage, transaction fees and rewards. NOSTR is also exploring the possibility of creating a sidechain, a collection of nodes that are connected to the Bitcoin blockchain but are able to host independent services like data storage and communications. This way, users can transact using Bitcoin while taking advantage of the decentralized and trustless nature of both the network and the platform.
