The workers will continue working through the night to increase the height of the berms as the lava approaches. While the inflow is slowly decreasing, the lava already in the system will be active for days.

The lava flows outside the berm build up cumulatively, turning the other side into a bowl. Likewise, they reduce the height of the berm to the next flow. So while efforts right now are focused on the most critical areas, the whole berm will need to be heightened for the next #eruption.
