Tonight's movie was Blame (2017)
I don't know what I thought having added this to my watch list ages ago, but I finally checked it out, hoping to get comfy and settle in to a cringy teen mean queen bitchfest, but nope...it was a bit more edgy and interesting than that. These high school kids and their class substitute are practicing for a high school theater production of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible", while the story unfolding is a sort of parallel of the story itself (no spoilers). A play-within-a-play, if you will. Has its dark and uncomfortable moments, but the payoff is good. Also worth noting it's written and directed by the young woman playing one of the lead characters. It's on Prime for free if you have an account. #NowPlaying #NowWatching https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4607722
