I have far too much experience with folks telling me their interpretation is "what I meant", and subsequently ignoring any attempt to course-correct, holding me accountable for their opinion - though that's somewhat outside the realm of art, I'll admit, it still informs what I feel about claiming you know someone's meaning based on personal interpretation
