The thing that really gets me is how much money companies might pay for enterprise solutions that automate things that actually... a human can do a lot better and more efficiently.

Don’t pay for software to solve problems that aren’t actually difficult to begin with. Here’s an example: paying an invoice. It’s not hard. Write a check or log in to your bank account and wire the money. But I’ve seen companies that have enormous departments that *struggle* to get an invoice “through their system.”
