should my USA based employer be paying GST when they buy me a new monitor from an NZ store (back light died on mine)

if i was a contractor, i'd claim the GST back. but i'm an employee now (via Deel)

if they were an NZ business they would claim the GST back, but they're not here at all

so.... how do we get the GST back if i buy this monitor urgently from PBtech today?
