Dear all, I jumped through the fire this morning and no idea if there’ll be comeback. In the week that my work released their new trans policy (alllows men into womens spaces) and invited staff to use pronouns, my team had a D&I training session that covered trans. We watched a video that had every single vile and idiotic trope (sex is a spectrum, lady brain & man brain et etc) then discussion with trainer. I was shaking because in front of my vicious bitch of a she-boss, but read out all my notes on the video’s problematic lang. ‘sex assigned at birth’, ‘cisgender’ ‘gender fluid’ etc. Trainer was visibly shaken - in her many successful years of blagging pretty sure people have been too scared to call her out. Then my bloody computer crashed!!! But I got several messages from colleagues applauding what I said and they’d been too scared to say. So. Let’s see where this goes.
