I don’t understand the anxiety about either federation, honestly. Don’t want to join Threads or Bluesky? No problem. Federation with them means you can stay on your current instance and still communicate with people on those instances — just like what you’re currently doing here. You find them annoying? Cool. You can block the entire instance if you want to. So what is there to be upset about? 🤷🏼♀️
