You would know better than me, but my experience in Argentina (living with locals) was that police were corrupt too.
Im not saying guns are the solution. I’m not a fan. But living in wild west Arizona, just the chance that a citizen is armed deflects robbery.
Plus, our police reliable.
Anyway, it was always something I admired about Argentines. Lack of interest in guns.
