"Three Days of the Condor" (1975) stars Robert Redford as a young CIA researcher who becomes entangled in a complicated "plot within a plot" that results in all his co-workers being murdered while he's picking up lunch. Co-starring Faye Dunaway, Cliff Robertson, and Max von Sydow in one of his best roles, it was shot mainly around Washington D.C. and NYC. Full of period technical treats, ex-phone phreaks will enjoy the remarkably accurate AT&T Bell system internal operational practices portrayed that were standard for the company at the time. Or, uh, so I've been told.
