Jessica Wildfire gets quite close to the truth in many areas. I'm a bit more on the "nature of civilization, cheap energy" side of things, but she has a better understanding than most. It is strange in my world, one in which I acknowledge my own constant cognitive dissonance. I'll tell ya... what I've seen, been through, I can't imagine a more turbulent and interesting period in history, any time that so much happened in one lifetime.
