In 2022, PepsiCo stated it had halted production of Pepsi, 7Up, and Mountain Dew in russia. These brands, however, were simply renamed and still sold.
PepsiCo’s tax contributions to russia skyrocketed from $32M in 2021 to $135M in 2023.
This has sparked boycotts. The Finnish Parliament, Helsinki municipality and SAS Airlines have dropped PepsiCo products.
“The sale of blood Pepsi must be unequivocally stopped. We don't need a Russian war sponsor like Pepsi,” said Finnish MP Tuomas Kettunen.
