Price controls should ALWAYS be rejected. They sound great on paper, when you're trying to buy votes from morons who think that government decree can subvert the laws of supply and demand, but in practice the *only* thing that price controls do is to change high prices into shortages.
If you want to turn "this thing costs too much" into "this thing isn't available", then government is your sledgehammer. If you actually want to solve the problem, it's time to start addressing the incentives.
