Working it. My 2013 town and country minivan has seen better days and recently passed 221,000 miles. We actually have three vehicles. We also have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous that I recently did a head gasket replacement on myself, and we also have a 2018 Nissan NV3500 12-passenger van for hauling our large family around in. None were bought new by us. We could afford a new car but we choose not to do that as it seems rather financially stupid to my wife and me to buy a new car. It works for us, but plenty of people can’t deal with car repairs or the looks of scraping by. I can do car repairs and I do nearly all of them myself. Yes, two of my cars are rusty or rusting. That’s OK. We live a privileged life, but a Maserati or Alfa Romeo is not something we choose to want to show that with unlike my brother-in-law who went and bought an Alfa Romeo the other day. Why? He says it’s because he’s always wanted one. I mean, if we’re going to buy expensive stuff, I’d rather buy an airplane. I do have my commercial pilot’s license, after all.
