it might be a bit too late, but maybe better late than never. might i recommend one of the most insightful books i ever read, by bruce bueno de mesquita: "The Dictators Handbook, Why Bad Behavior is Almost Always Good Politics", isbn: 1610391845
de Mesquita has been advising the CIA since at least the 80ies, on coup de etats, and dictators. this guy knows his domain.
