I tried to sell art on instagram a few years ago and sold like, nothing. Pretty much all my followers were bot accounts selling t-shirts and sunglasses. That site sucks. Everyone told me 'You gotta put this on instagram! You gotta get yourself an instagram account!' And then I did and started posting stuff and was hit with a tidal wave of spam garbage.
