Even in the absence of corruption, the primary motivation of capitalism is profit. Therefore it can never be for the best interest of customers/consumers, society, the environment. Those are completely opposing ideals. And the latter are things the capitalists/corporations will pander to in the absolute least possible way to make themselves look like they marginally care for good will. And most won't even do that. Corruption is just a bonus.
