How do you stress test such a provocative result. What part of the model can be leaned on to increase/decrease that sensitivity to warming. What obs would increase/decrease estimate. Uncertainty, etc. Why CESM1? (Low ECS? But much bias correcting? Another better?) But I guess John Marshall is still consulting on GISS OGCM, so it’ll make its way back here somehow if it’s using MITogcm.
And finally— very cool (if disillusion inducing) result.
