Covid 36 altered DNA. 15% of those infected began growing new body parts--fingers, toes, teeth, sometimes whole limbs. On rare occasions, DNA was imported from other species and humans grew bat ears, squirrel tails, antlers and other impossibilities. The most bizarre cases were sent to the dome to control spread, but mostly to keep them out of sight.
The dome was crowded. The inhabitants pressed their faces to the glass and chanted, "We are all human and we want our freedom."
